Bringing new life to a historic club with 130 new members in one course
We brought new life to a nearly silent rowing club with one of our biggest autumn campaigns ever. 130 people joined. Over 60 stayed. A once-dormant club was transformed into a buzzing, competitive home again.

About the club
This club is in Gothenburg, one of the largest cities in Sweden. In the past, it had been a well-known and respected rowing club. But for the last 15 years, things had been going downhill. Activity levels dropped, and the club became almost invisible in the local community. Even though the location was beautiful, most people had no idea the club was still around.
Problem
There were just a few active members left, and they were mostly rowing on their own. There were no coaches, no group training, and no signs of growth. The club felt like a piece of history instead of something alive. There was no structure, no energy, and definitely no system in place to bring in new people.
Solution
We reached out to another rowing club nearby and asked if some of their coaches could help out. Thankfully, they agreed. With that in place, we launched a big campaign to promote a new beginner course. We created clear messages, simple ads, and shared stories that showed how rowing could be fun and open to everyone. We focused on bringing new energy to the club and making people feel welcome, even if they had never rowed before.
Result
130 people signed up for the course. Even though it was autumn, which is normally a hard time to get people involved, 62 of them chose to stay with the club after the course. That gave the club 60 new active members almost overnight. Even better, they earned over 20000 dollars the very next day after the course ended. That was five times more than they made in a whole year before. The club had new life, a strong base of members, and finally a way to grow again.
