Running a full course with their own team from start to finish
This time we stayed lean on purpose. With fewer coaches and midsummer timing, we limited the course to 70 people. But with a solid foundation from last year, the club reached 80 active rowers — their highest ever.

About the club
This is the same club from earlier in Gothenburg, now doing the project for the second year in a row. After seeing great success the first time, they wanted to try doing more things on their own. The goal was to become more self-sufficient and grow their own internal team.
Problem
It was summertime, and there weren’t as many coaches available. Also, they didn’t want to borrow coaches from other clubs like they did the year before. They wanted to use only their own members. The challenge was to see if they could run a strong course by themselves, without as much help.
Solution
We helped the club plan everything, but they used only their own trained members as coaches. Many of these were people who had been part of the project last year. We kept the campaign smaller and more focused. Instead of trying to reach everyone, the goal was to run a high-quality course for a smaller group.
Result
70 people joined the course. The club picked 25 of them to stay and continue training. Added to the 60 members from last year, the club now has about 80 active members. They’ve also started to earn steady income from training fees. Most importantly, they proved that they can handle this kind of project on their own, which makes the whole system more sustainable.
